President’s Day
It’s an election year, so chances are you may have had presidential issues on your mind long before Monday’s President’s Day rolled around this past Monday. In just one more year, we’ll all be witnessing another changing of the guard. The Obama family will make its exit, and our new first family will take their place. Moving Day
93 staffers worked feverishly over the course of just six hours, as the Bush family made their exit in the a.m. The Obamas arrived right on schedule that afternoon. Everything, down to the very last box, is immediately put away in its new temporary home. No new keys needed to be issued to the newest first family, as those are securely entrusted to the care of Secret Service personnel.
Who Picks Up the Tab?
The kitchen is fully stocked, yet the presidential family selects groceries to be purchased and prepared, weekly, which is taken out of the presidential salary. American taxpayers foot the bill only for official government dinners. Oh, and as for dry cleaning? That will be taken out of the $400,000 presidential salary as well. You’ve got to admit, it’s certainly money well spent. There’s nothing more “presidential” looking than a crisp, fresh shirt and suit.
