IMPORTANT TIPS ABOUT REMOVING UNDERARM STAINS

One of the most important things to focus on when removing stains from the underarm is what color the garment is. The process to use for white tops will differ from that of colored garments.

• White shirts and tops – A simple but effective remedy starts by pouring 2 cups of a warm water mixed with a single cup of white vinegar into a large mixing bowl. Submerge the white shirt into the bowl and let it soak for about 25 minutes. While soaking, take a smaller bowl and mix some baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and some salt together forming a paste. Wring out the shirt and lay it on a flat white cloth. Spread the paste on the underarm areas and let it sit for an additional 20 minutes. Once the time has expired, put your white garment through a regular washing and the underarm stains will be gone.
• Colored shirts and tops – The stain removing process is a bit different for colored garments. Again, pour 2 cups of warm water and a single cup of white vinegar into a mixing bowl. Submerge the shirt into the bowl and let it soak for near to 25 minutes. Once you have finished the soaking process, put the garment under cold running water and gently rub the underarm stains with your hands. You can then wash the colored garment normally and the stains will no longer be there.
